MBTA Trip Guide
Experience Design for Accesibility
Defining User Needs
The MBTA Trip Guide app addresses the need for Boston residents and visitors alike to receive accessible directions and timely alerts when using public transportation. My target audience was passengers who have difficulty understanding English directions specifically.
Designing a Solution
My design solution took the form of a translation and audio supplementation service. For this project, I challenged myself to create an intuitive system that can be understood and utilized effectively regardless of language or auditory barriers.
Building and Testing
I created a first iteration of this project using a low-fidelity paper prototype. I then tested the prototype and proceeded to Figma with my findings to make an interactive prototype for an App.
