This spread was inspired by signs of spring that I noticed on neighborhood walks. On one of these outings, I observed a man feeding birds and allowing them to sit on his head and face. Marveling at his tranquility, I drew a rendition of him and added it to this collage.

This spread was inspired by a visit to Redwood National Park. Awestruck by the ancient trees towering above me, I wanted to capture the feeling of being in such a special place. I then added an inked cross-section of a tree trunk and text to the collage.
